Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information SureCalcs (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit our website, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the numbers you enter into our calculators are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.
Information we collect
Calculator inputs
Calculations run on your device. We do not store the values you type. When you use “Copy link to results,” your inputs are placed in the page address (URL) so the link can recreate your results; anyone you share that link with can see those values, and like any page request, it may appear in our hosting provider’s standard server logs when opened.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps to deliver and secure the site.
- Analytics. If we use analytics services to understand how the site is used, they may collect device and usage information through cookies or similar technologies.
- Advertising. We plan to show ads provided by Google and its partners. Advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them and measure performance, and may use information about your visits to this and other websites to show ads based on your interests.
Advertising and cookies
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s My Ad Center, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Your privacy choices and US state rights
Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with consumer privacy laws — you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information / opt out of targeted advertising: we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid opt-out request. You can also use the privacy choices tool shown on our site (when available), adjust your Google ad settings as described above, or email us at hello@surecalcs.com with the subject “Privacy request.” We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent, and we may need to verify your request.
We do not knowingly sell personal information for money, and we do not collect sensitive personal information.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Data retention and security
Server logs and analytics data are kept only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. We use HTTPS and reputable service providers to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Links and embedded calculators
Our pages link to other websites, such as government sources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. If you use one of our calculators embedded on another website, that website’s privacy policy also applies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
